Holiday Taxis opens groups department - Travel Trade Gazette - 01 Dec 2006
Holiday Taxis has set up a groups department to take bookings for more than 10 people over the telephone.
All other bookings are made online, but managing director Paul Stanyer admitted it was difficult to process group requests over the Internet. Agents can also use the service for block bookings, even if the holidaymakers are not travelling together as a group.
Stanyer said demand has increased for minibus hire, particularly among groups of golfers, for the duration of their stay.
The company has also improved booking functionality on its website. Agents now get a short description of the vehicle, with prices calculated on a per-person basis to make it easier to give clients a quote, and booking confirmation can be printed out straight away.
Resort information has been added to the booking confirmation and a resort guide now features on the main website. Agents can also have own-branded versions of the Holiday Taxis website.
