Further Destinations From HolidayTaxis.com - Stan Magazine - 24 Jan 2004
December 2003 saw the launch of HolidayTaxis comprehensive ski programme offering transfers in all of the major European ski destinations including France, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. Agents should be aware that on face value process may seem higher than summer transfer rates however the transfers are much longer. The difference though of taking a private transfer can often mean an extra half a day on the slopes - something the keen skier is prepared to pay for which is reflected in the bookings.
According to HolidayTaxis one of the things agents should never be afraid to do is quote the price displayed to clients who are looking for a private transfer. Never pre-judge how much the client can afford and allow the client to decide. This was evident last year as the demand for transfers to Alcudia in Majorca was as popular as some of the other shorter destinations. Clients recognise they are paying a premium for a superior service, however divided amongst a travelling party the cost is often minimal.
Other news for 2004 includes the introduction of further European city destinations boosting the number of cities featured now to over 20 with even more to follow over the coming months.
The USA was due to be launched at the end of 2003 but a small technical delay has held this up and this is now due to go live during February. Demand has also led to transfers being organised for arrivals into destinations by cruise ship starting in Tenerife (Santa Cruise) in February. Research has also begun into providing pre-bookable excursions for the cruise market.
The number of airports where HolidayTaxis now have a desk has also increased with Faro, Ibiza, Malta, Corfu, Rhodes, Crete being added to Palma and Tenerife. This is an ongoing project which will enhance the level of service offered to all arriving clients.
Further destinations and services are also planned for 2004. Holiday Taxis will keep agent informed of any news or changes via regular email bulletins and the introduction of a new retail sales manager in March. Holiday Taxis are looking to build and develop netter relationships with Scottish partners who have supported them very well during 2003. If these are still any agencies who have not registered to receive username and password to make bookings on-line, they should register at www.holidaytaxis.com or call on 0870 444 1880 for further information or advice.
